Before you lay The Source Lands, home to multiple miniscule fantasy Nations. With skilled leadership, your Nation will establish new towns and grow a strong economy. With a rich culture, an understanding of science, and a strong military, you could shape this place to your liking. But across the way there are Nations just as capable as yours. How will you outgrow – or outlast – them all?

Start As a Fledgling Town and Grow into a World Power

Each Nation has an edge in one category or another, and a wise leader will know how to use these to their advantage. Select your Nation based on their strengths and weaknesses, read up on their personality, and get started on your way to glory.

Walk Softly and Carry a Big Stick

If your opponent has the edge, you might want to attack them to slow them down. All Nations share the same unit types, but not in equal numbers. Perhaps your path to victory will be to research your Nation’s favored units and apply overwhelming force. Or maybe you’ll find yourself under siege, holding on until you achieve victory another way.

Master The Strengths of Your Nation

Accomplish your Nation Objectives and leverage your greatest asset – your Avatar - to outfox your opponents. Your Avatar is a great worker who can help build resource camps and found new settlements, but it doesn’t end there. Use them to resolve encounters for useful rewards, sway the tide in combat, and cast unique, game-breaking Source Powers. Building your Nation’s Unique Buildings will also prove quite valuable in your quest for greatness.

Create Stories That Outlast the Final Turn

The victor (hopefully you) will regale friends and family with tales of daring gambits and cunning strategy. The defeated (also possibly you) will demand retribution…and an immediate rematch.
